    Introduction:

    Lamp cap and lampholder go no go gauges are designed according to IEC60061-3:2004, they are applied to quality test of GU10, G13 and G5 cap.     1)“Go Gauge for Bi-pin Cap G13 on Finished Lamps (7006-45-4)

    Purpose: to check dimensions E max,, F min, F max, and the combined pin diameter and displacement of pin (including bosses) of bi-pin caps G13 on finished lamps.

    Testing: the pins of the caps on finished lamps shall enter the gauge at surface O and, when fully inserted, the surfaces of cap and gauge shall contact. In this position the end of the pins shall be co-planar with or project beyond surface X, but shall not project beyond surface Y. Each individual pin shall enter hole e1 at surface O until the face of the cap and the surface of the gauge contact.

    2)“Go and Not Go Gauge for Unmounted Bi-Pin Cap G13 (7006-44-4)

    Purpose: to check dimensions E min, E max, F min, G max, H max, and the combined pin diameter and displacement of pins (including bosses) of unmounted bi-pin caps G13.

    Testing: the pins of the cap shall enter the gauge at surface O and, when fully inserted, the surface of cap and gauge shall contact. In this position the ends of the pins shall be co-planar with or project beyond surface X. Each individual pin shall enter the hole e2 until the boss of the pin and the surface of the gauge contact, but they shall not enter hole e1. The boss of the individual pin shall enter hole b at surface O until the surface of the cap and the gauge contact.

    3)GU10 Go and Not Go Gauge for bases 7006-121-1

    Purpose: To check the base GU10 in the following respects:

    - the diameter of the individual pins (dimension A);

    - the combined displacement and diameter of the pins (dimensions A and D);

    - the length of the pins (dimensions F1 plus J);

    - the recess length and diameter of the pins (dimensions F2 and E)

    Testing: It shall be possible to insert the individual pins of the base from surface Z into the hole “a1” and remove the pin along the slot. It shall not be possible to insert the pins of the base into hole “a2”. It shall be possible to insert the base into the gauge until the reference plane of the base is in contact with surface Y of the gauge. In this position, the ends of the pins shall not project beyond the surface of the gauge.

    4)Go Gauge for Bi-pin Cap on Finished Lamps G5 (7006-46A-3)

    Purpose: to check dimensiions E max., F min., F max. And the combined pin diameter and displacement of pins (including bossed) of bi-pin caps G5 on finished lamps.

    Testing: The pins of the caps on finished lamps shall enter the gauge at surface O and, when fully inserted. The surfaces of cap and gauge shall contact.

    In this position the ends of the pins shall be co-planar with or project beyond surface X, but shall not project beyond surface Y.
